New Fort Worth ISD School Planned in Ventana

We are pleased to announce that Fort Worth ISD recently purchased a site for a new elementary school located within Ventana. The new Fort Worth ISD school will give students living in our community close access to educational opportunities and programs and parents the convenience of a quick pick-up and drop-off just steps from home.

Location

The new Fort Worth ISD school site is located on the south side of Jerry Dunn Parkway adjacent to the Whitestone Golf Club. Construction timing has not been announced at this time, so stayed tuned to Ventana’s website and social media pages for further updates regarding the timing of the new elementary school.

Benbrook Schools

The new Fort Worth ISD school site in Ventana will join the Benbrook area’s network of high-performing schools and help meet the district’s growing needs in this area. The last new school opened in Benbrook was Westpark Elementary School in 2016, a $19mm state-of-the-art facility designed with a focus on integrating new technologies.

Benbrook Middle-High School was also fully renovated in 2016. The school has met all of the Texas Education Agency’s standards for student achievement and student progress and also offers more than 20 Advanced Placement courses and extracurricular programs ranging from orchestra to JROTC and seven varsity sports.

Additionally, Fort Worth ISD broke ground this past year on a new $6 million baseball/softball complex for BMHS. It is anticipated to be completed in 2020.
