It’s finally feeling like fall, which means it’s the perfect time to start celebrating the season by exploring the best pumpkin patches and Halloween events near Fort Worth! Pumpkin Nights

Howell Family Farms

This exciting, new interactive Halloween experience and festival debuts at Howell Family Farms on Thursday, Oct. 10. Pumpkin Nights features multi-sensory Halloween displays and seven fantasy Pumpkin Lands featuring hand-carved and synthetic pumpkins.

The event is family-friendly and includes a nightly fire show, an outdoor movie screening, a bounce house for kids and a variety of treats and drinks. Pumpkin Nights is open nightly Oct. 10-Nov. 3 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. (closed on Halloween).

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze

A crowd-favorite pumpkin patch near Fort Worth, Hall’s Pumpkin Farm is the perfect fall celebration. Pick your pumpkin, enjoy hayrides and navigate two-acres of towering corn stalks in the Corn Maze. This is a cash-only business, so make sure to bring cash!

Benbrook Heritage Fest

Located moments from Ventana, the Benbrook Heritage Fest “Cowboy Roundup” is an annual celebration of western heritage with fun fall activities including a Punkin’ Patch. Activities include hay wagon rides, Campfire Storytime, a petting zoo, trick roper, bounce house, face painters and balloon art. Artisan vendors, local businesses and non-profit organizations also will be present to showcase their products and services.

Be sure to bring your appetite, too, because a variety of food trucks will at the event offering barbecue, Tex-Mex, cone pizza, kettle corn, funnel cakes and more. This year’s entertainment is headlined by The Western Flyers, a talented trio performing a great mix of western swing, vintage country and hot jazz music. Best of all, admission is free!

Boo at the Zoo

Get in the Halloween spirit at the Fort Worth Zoo. Visit treat stations throughout the zoo, play carnival games, enjoy Boo-themed entertainment, a live animal stage show and more. Price of admission includes six Boo at the Zoo coupons that can be redeemed at treat stations. Additional coupons are available for purchase at the box office.

Boo at the Zoo activities are free with admission — $16 for ages 13+, $12 for children ages 3-12 and seniors ages 65 and older, and free for children 2 and younger.

Ick-or-Treat

The werewolves will howl and the monsters will mash at the Fort Worth Museum for a Fort Worth Halloween bash! Ick-or-Treat is happening on Halloween night. This family-friendly event features scientific tricks and treats. Participants are invited to wear their Halloween costumes. Museum members receive early admission to Ick-or-Treat at 6 p.m. for first access to activities!
